The Heart’s Inheritance: Gifts to the Carer grew from the five years my sister Nadine and I spent caring for our mum as she lived with dementia.
It is a story of love, loss and the everyday reality of caring — but it is also about the unexpected gifts we can discover along the way. The moments of humour and tenderness, the strength we didn’t know we had, and the memories that remain long after the caring has ended.
